The launch date for the Chakrangers, 12/12/2024, turned out to be a lucky coincidence. The number 1212 is a powerful number, symbolising positive new beginnings and a harmonious path forward. It felt like a good omen for our project, which aimed to bring more positivity and self-love into the world.
We hadn’t specifically chosen this date; it was simply when the Chakrangers were finally available after months and even years of development and production. With the first batch arriving in Nenagh, we were eager to get them out into the world. Write Away in Cork, with its welcoming atmosphere, seemed like the perfect place to introduce them.
But Cork wasn’t the only location embracing the Chakrangers. Closer to home, O’Mahony’s Book Shop in Limerick had also agreed to stock them. It felt wonderful to have the support of local businesses, especially with the Christmas season approaching. It was the perfect opportunity for a soft launch, allowing the Chakrangers to gently find their way into the hearts of children and families.
With a car full of Chakrangers and the colourful display stand I had built, I set off for Cork, feeling a mix of anticipation and nervous excitement.
Once at Write Away, I carefully arranged the affirmation cards and stickers, each character radiating positivity. It was a proud moment. These weren’t just products; they were a labor of love and a testament to our belief in the power of affirmations.
After setting up, I left to run some errands. Less than an hour later, the shop manager called with exciting news: we had made our first sale! Relief and joy washed over me. Someone had connected with our creations.
By the end of the day, thirteen Chakranger sets had found new homes. It wasn’t about the numbers; it was about knowing that these little ambassadors of self-worth were out in the world, ready to spread their message.
Driving back to Limerick that evening, I felt a sense of accomplishment. The Chakrangers had taken flight.
At home, Sadbh was thrilled to hear the news. We had done it. Together, we had poured our hearts into this project, and now it was making its way into the world. All the hard work had paid off. The journey of the Chakrangers had begun, and it felt like we were on the right path.
